We have a California State Assemblyman who is attempting to set a fair standard and a non arbitrary standard for the issuance of CCW permits. Today you can be denied a CCW permit on the whim of the Sheriff in your county. Assemblyman Steve Knight's bill AB 357 will require sheriffs to issue CCW permits to all qualified applicants based on known and published standards. When passed, California will join 40 or so of the other states that have a "shall issue" standard for obtaining a CCW permit. A big step forward for California citizens who want safer streets and neighborhoods!
Toward the lower right hand corner of Assemblyman Knight's home web page you will find a gun and target image. To the right of that image are two statements:
"2nd Amendment Rights – AB 357"
"Click here to let me know you support my bill"
Click on either one to get to the Assemblyman's form. Where it says "select an issue:" pick the issue "I support AB 357" and please fill out the rest of the form to join freedom loving Californians who demand safe neighborhoods in their state.
